Audemars Piguet
Mazarine Events NYC accompanies Audemars Piguet in the production of The Art Commission for Art Basel Miami.

At Art Basel Miami Beach 2018, Audemars Piguet is offering a spectacular new installation entitled Albedo de Tomás Saraceno for "Aerocene". A Mazarine Events NYC production.

The large-scale, site-specific installation, made of 40 reflective out-turned umbrellas, created a hemispherical sundial. Using only the heat from the sun, the oceanfront sculptures powered the solar flights of the Aerocene Explorer. The presentation was kicked off with a press conference and cocktail party.

During the run of Albedo by Tomás Saraceno and the Aerocene Foundation, Audemars Piguet arranged a curated program of multidisciplinary public talks. The two talks explored a post-fossil fuel era, and how humanity can rethink its relationship with the Universe to understand a “response”-ability toward Planet Earth.

There to highlight the urgency of community involvement and discuss his project’s meaning, Saraceno said, “I’m not the leader, I’m a participant.” He elaborated on his work with Aerocene, saying that it was about opening up through three ecologies—environmental, social, and mental—to begin imagining a future free of fossil fuels. “In Miami, everyone is welcome to join the Aerocene community as we learn to cook, fly and cool the planet using only the power of the Sun and by attuning to the Earth’s natural planetary rhythms,” said Saraceno.

The second Audemars Piguet Art Commission entrusted Sun Xun with the creation of a major new work presented in front of the ocean on the occasion of Art Basel Miami Beach in 2016. A Mazarine Events NYC production.

The installation "Reconstruction of the Universe" is presented under a wave-shaped bamboo pavilion designed by the artist. Sun Xun brings together the work of traditional Chinese ink, wood engraving and animation by exploring the theme of the metaphysics of time.

As part of the 16th Art Basel Miami Beach, one of the world’s most important contemporary art shows, Audemars Piguet presents an installation with a message. A profoundly experiential work that invites visitors to question the relationship between humans and nature. With this new artistic collaboration, Audemars Piguet is pursuing its strong commitment to art and the environment.

On the upper level, miniature buildings appear and disappear from the pool through the day, echoing the outline of the neighboring skyscrapers. The mechanically complex installation evokes buildings submerged as a result of climate change. In striking contrast, the lower level reveals a labyrinth of plant-based elements.

A production by Mazarine Events NYC.

The exhibition is inspired by the ice formations and snowy winters of the house in Switzerland and highlights water and ice as the main thematic elements. It expresses with purity the time passing. Focused on excellence, Errazuriz often mixes traditional craft techniques with the use of high technology and 3D printing.

The Curiosity project is in the shape of a floating chalet that stands in front of the emblematic disused modern structure of Miami's Marine Stadium. It welcomes House events throughout the week. For the occasion, the Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet organised, in partnership with the contemporary art gallery Perrotin, an exceptional event.
